Your privacy is important to Weddingster. In this privacy statement we explain which personal data we collect when you use our services. Why we need this data and how we use it. We attach great importance to the protection, confidentiality and integrity of your personal data.

We would also like to inform you about your rights in this regard.

 

1. Responsibility for your data

Weddingster processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself.

residential address

phone number

E-mail address

Date of birth

Bank account number

wedding date

Weddingster processes the following special and/or sensitive personal data about you:

Sexual preference (e.g. same-sex marriage)

Religion (e.g. if the wedding takes place in front of the church)

Ethnic background

Health (e.g. if this affects the execution of the agreement)

 

3. For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

Weddingster processes your personal data for the following purposes:

Handling your payment.

To be able to call or e-mail you if this is necessary to be able to carry out our services.

To be able to properly perform the services as agreed.

To comply with legal obligations, such as keeping records.

 

4. Sharing your personal data with third parties

Weddingster will not sell your information to third parties and will only provide it if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We conclude a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Weddingster remains responsible for these processing operations.

5. How long we keep your personal data

Weddingster does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to realize the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data:

Name and address details & Bank account number > Retention period: 7 years after sending the last invoice > Reason: legal obligation

Special personal data & Date of birth > Retention period: 4 years after completion of the agreement > Reason: for the proper performance of the agreed services.

 

6. Cookies, or similar techniques, we use

Weddingster uses cookies on its website. The use of cookies on the Weddingster website is solely intended for the technical functionality of the website. This means that the website works properly, is optimized and your preferred settings are remembered.

 

7. View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Weddingster and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we have about you in a computer file to you or another organization mentioned by you.

 

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@weddingster.nl.

 

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

8. How we protect personal data

Weddingster takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. 9. Automated decision making

Weddingster does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for people. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without human intervention.

 

10. Social Media

Communication via the various social media channels (facebook, whatsapp, twitter, linkedin, instagram) and sharing privacy-sensitive information is your own responsibility. This privacy statement therefore does not apply to how social media platforms handle the data you provide. Please note that many social media platforms are located outside the European Union and store data outside the European Union. The privacy legislation of the European Union usually does not apply. We recommend that you carefully read the privacy statement of these social media channels.
